Steve Watkins began the practice of law in Greenville, Texas, in May of 1980, with the Law Firm of G. C. Harris. After the death of Mr. Harris, Steve continued in solo private practice until 1985, when he joined the firm of Beacom & Parks, the firm becoming Beacom, Parks & Watkins.

Daniel Perkins joined the firm in 1985, and in 1990 became a partner in the firm of Beacom, Parks, Watkins & Perkins. The firm reorganized in 1993 as Beacom, Watkins & Perkins. The senior member of the firm, Richard A. Beacom, Jr., left the firm in 1997 to take the Bench as the Judge of the 354th Judicial District Court of Hunt County, Texas.

Today, the firm of Watkins & Perkins serves clients throughout the State of Texas. The firm concentrates in Family Law, Adoption Law, and Personal Injury Law. The firm also provides Mediation Services.
